Meet Natasja de Kock

Hello, I’m Natasja — an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years of experience walking alongside older adults and their families through some of life’s most meaningful transitions.

Since graduating from the University of Pretoria in 2002 and completing my community service year at Middelburg Hospital, my career has taken me across diverse clinical settings both in South Africa and abroad. My passion, however, has always been rooted in geriatric care and rehabilitation. I believe that aging is not something to fear — it’s a season of life that deserves to be supported with dignity, purpose, and compassion.

I am proudly registered with the Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa (OTASA), and I continue to stay at the forefront of best practices through regular training and peer learning.

While working in Australia, I deepened my expertise in palliative care and dementia support through the COPE (Care of Persons with Dementia in their Environment) program. I’ve also completed specialized training in wheelchair seating, both locally and internationally — because every detail matters when it comes to quality of life.

Through Awesome Aging, I offer personalized, person-centered occupational therapy that meets you where you are — whether you're recovering from illness, adapting to memory changes, or simply planning to stay independent at home.

My mission is simple: to help older adults thrive — not just survive.”
